  • They had purposely left the support posts long but it was now time to cut them flush. Ron chose one of his favorite tools for the job, his trusty Japanese handsaw.
  • The last step was to fit together the final layer of crossbeams. The interlocking notches were cut a bit shallower so these beams would sit higher and appear more prominent.

RESULTS:

It was fall when Ron visited the Cuderyo home so if there was any sun at all, it was warm and pleasant. But Ron couldn't help but imagine sitting there, under the new pergola in the warmth of summer with the vines growing over the top creating luxurious, cool shade.

It wasn't an easy undertaking, but the with careful measuring and cutting, Ron and the Cuderyos created a well crafted structure that makes their beautiful backyard something truly special.
