If
you use a drill as much for driving as you do for drilling,
that usually makes for a several-step operation. See a complete video of this tip. |

Next, drill a hole... |

...then drive in the screw. That's not so bad if you've only got to put in a couple of screws, but if you've got to drive a lot of them, well, it can be a real time waster. |

This new tool, called the Twist-Lok
Drill and Driver System, can save a lot of time on this
otherwise dual operation.

With the Twist-Lok system, insert a bit holder and drill bit into the chuck, then drill the pilot hole. |
Now, instead of removing the drill bit, simply slip a driver bit holder over it. |

Place a screw on the magnetized tip, and drive it in. |
Another version of this system accepts any standard round shaft drill for drilling a pilot or clearance hole. |

This special chuck can accomodate the Twist-Lok slip-on bit holder, which goes on right over your own drill bit. |
That's it: from drilling to driving, with just a twist. |
