Learn how to assemble a purchased kit for a garden shed with sloping roof windows.

Lay out the two-by-four studs on edge using the old concrete slab as a work area. You will be assembling four walls in the next series of steps, but the back, front and sides are constructed a little differently. Read and follow the directions that came from the kit. Space the studs on 16-inch centers measuring on both the top and bottom to be exact so that the studs will be vertical when the wall frames stand upright. This spacing is also a universal building-code requirement.
