How to Build a Garden Arbor

8. Benches
Four brackets, with the same curved detail as the beams, will support the two benches.

Each bench seat consists of a pair of 2 X 6 cedar boards. Once the boards are screwed down into place, the arbor is complete.

After the arbor is complete, it is recommended that you apply a coat of wood preservative on the structure. You don't have to change the color, but it is a good idea to protect it.
