- The second accessory they added was the climbing rope. It attached to the upper part of the structure the same way the pirate's ladder did; with a long "I" bolt and a nut, which they tightened securely in place with a ratchet.

- Every two-story playhouse requires a suitable set of front steps. In this case it was going to be a ladder. They made the rails out of two 2 x 4s. To be sure the holes were spaced accurately, they clamped the two rails together and drilled through both at the same time.

- The rungs were made of short pieces of 1 1/8th inch dowel, which were included with the kit. Ron simply pounded the dowels through the holes and then secured them in place with screws.

| |
| They attached the ladder to the play set and were finally ready for the grand finale. The tube slide. |
| |
- The tubular slide was purchased as an accessory for the play set. They rolled it into position before they attached it to the main frame.
| |
- Kim placed the bottom of the slide into the pea gravel and then Dennis and Ron bolted the top of the slide onto the frame.
| |
- No playhouse would be complete without a roof, so Dennis attached a ridge beam to support the awning that came with the kit.
| |
- He draped the awning over the beam and attached it with screws and fender washers.

RESULTS:
Finally, it was time for Ron to do exactly what he claims he came here for: to give the slide a try! Now Ron couldn't stay and play too long, but you could just tell by looking at Kaylee, that she would remember Ron and his visit for a very long time to come. |
