- Steve placed the speaker support ring into the hole they had cut out and it fit perfectly!

6. Wood molding
- They took a break from the ceiling panels and moved outside to paint the wood molding, which would be used to frame each ceiling section.

- Ron recommended cutting the molding pieces slightly longer than what they had measured because you can always cut off a bit more if necessary, but you can't do anything if they come up short.

- They worked their way around each section measuring, cutting and attaching the remaining molding.

7. Final touch
- For a final touch, Steve and Barb put a faux finish on the beams.

RESULTS:
Once the room was completely put back together, the ceiling looked absolutely beautiful. Steve and Barb were especially pleased with the pecky look of the wood. With the new focus on the ceiling, it gave the feeling of bringing the ceiling down a little, giving the room a more cozy feeling. Ron felt like the real credit for today's project should go to Barb and Steve for realizing that ceilings deserve as much attention as walls and floors when it comes to transforming a room. |
