- After the first shingles were down, they went back and attached a second layer right on top of the first course of shingles, this time with the grit side up.

- The next morning, Tim and Ron picked up where they left off and before coffee break, the rest of the shingles were up.

6. Finishing touches:
- Tim enclosed the space between the roof and the wall panels with a piece of wood called a fascia board.

- Next, they installed the sill, which attached right on top of the railing of each wall panel.
|
|
| |
|
- Each sill was attached with two screws.
|
|
| |
|
- Ron installed the screen panels that were also a part of the kit. These were ready made to fit each wall section of the gazebo and they were held in place with about six screws.

RESULTS:
Building the gazebo was not particularly difficult, but it was still quite a treat when they could finally sit down, relax, and enjoy this waterfront haven from the gnats.

- The Tillmans were absolutely thrilled with the finished product. They didn't a product that came from a kit, to be so solid and durable.
|
|

- The promise of fresh shrimp was all that Ron needed to accept the Tillmans offer to hop on board and go on a shrimp catching excursion. As they pulled away from the dock, Ron and the Tillmans were able to admire their handiwork from one more vantage point. It certainly was a fine-looking addition to this Mississippi inlet.
