How to Build a Treehouse, Continued

Learn how to build a tree house; features include solid decking, a ladder and wall frames; includes tips, materials, and tools lists.
  • After all of the pieces of the wall frame sections were screwed together, they could attach them to the deck. Installing one side at a time, they attached each wall section to both the deck and to the adjacent wall section until all four walls were securely in place.

  • They used pre-cut exterior sheathing material for the tree house exterior. Beginning all the way in the corner, they tacked each board in place temporarily with a nail gun and worked their way around the outside leaving a separate entrance on each side. Once all the boards were positioned, Andy secured each one permanently with screws.

RESULTS:
Thanks to Ron, the boys took up occupancy in their new hide out right away! Now they had a perfect place to meet and hang out and yet they still were within easy earshot of both of their moms. Oh, to be a kid again!!
