How to Install a Double-Hung Window in a Brick Wall - Tools Needed

Learn how to remove and install a double-hung window; includes step-by-step instructions along with tips, materials, and tools lists.
Tools and supplies:
      Wide putty knife
      Pry bar
      Tape measure
      Utility knife
      Hammer
      Narrow putty knife
      Safety goggles
      Power drill
      Assorted drill bits
      Wood screws
      Caulking gun
      Power miter box
      Pneumatic nail gun
      Small Japanese hand saw
      Sandpaper

Materials:
      1 x 4 pine for spacers if necessary
     2 x 4 pine for outside framing
     2 ½" galvanized nails
     Caulk
     Wooden shims
     Aerosol urethane foam insulation
     Insulation (to replace old)

     Decorative molding
     Interior spackling compound
     Primer  
     j Paint
