It appears that the saw is Ron's own design. He posted this same video on YouTube with the comment that he is looking for a production partner. As far as the material goes, I don't know, but it looks like the same rigid foam they make surfboards out of (can't remember the exact name).

Just caught your segment this morning with Ashawn and the box project. The saw (if i'm not mistaking) you came up with "i Build 2" is a wicked good idea. Where can I get one or the plans to build my own for my kids? My girls enjoy my shop as much as I do and a tool like that would be a cool addition.
