I like the house you build. I was about to plan a house with a atic, a play room,
a dining room, a living room and a kichen. all of those are on the first floor the atic is on the second floor in the roof. it will have water, pipes all over the house, a water heater in the atic it all so the house will be made with would. The roof is water proof. It also has a plan for the house on a pice of paper. And it all so has nails. Well that is how it is going to be. By.***

It has been over a year now and you are now just starting the plans for the play house? Cmon, people have been requesting this for over a year now. You built the house so you should know what is involved. A detailed guide or even a parts list would honestly take less than an hour.

Three months is very kind. According to the older posts, it's been at least TEN months. I think it is safe to say that we can all just ignore this project and seek out alternative free and available plans. Clearly, Ron, who has been noticeably silent, has no intention of reviewing this project.

Pressure treated wood is toxic and should not be used around children or animals. Should not be used at all. Cedar is great. Cancer is everywhere and adding more chemicals to our environment is not helping.

I found all of my windows from Amazon. Go here: http://www.amazon.com/Windows-White-Flush-Playhouse-Chicken/dp/B006J7Z7YW I built it 6ft wide, 8ft deep and about 6.5ft high (So I can walk into it and not hit my head haha). Take consideration when you are buying the walls (whether you are buying plywood or T-111 siding) that they will be 4ft by 8ft. So make your walls 4ft high

David, Do you want to share your source for the child safe windows? Anybody want to take a guess at the basic dimensions for the house? Maybe six feet wide, eight deep and the walls four or four and a half feet high? Are the joists 16" or 24" on center?

I agree, how long does it take to post a blueprint and parts list. Thank you for posting this video though. It was a very helpful tool in building my daughter's birthday present. I am currently building a playhouse for my daughter in our back yard and have been using this video as a reference and making my own plans. It is not as hard as I thought since I really have to experience building anything (although I have all the tools I would ever need). Check Craigslist and construction companies for wood, shingles, etc that they are not going to use. The project was about $600 and that includes 5 child-safe windows. It can be done, just need to have confidence in yourself and measure at least twice

Come on Ron. So many people have asked for the plans and it's been quite awhile that you haven't provided it. You stated in the video that you had them already. "While Rachel, Thomas and I continue working out floor plans, my carpenter, David Schulte is busy cutting pressure-treated lumber which we're going to use for a joist system." I'm disappointed. It seems that you're merely showing off your building skills, since you're not willing to share the supply list and plans.

I wanted to build my son and daughter a fort similar to this, but I wanted to elevate it about six feet off the ground and access it via a trap door and ladder. I was hoping I could get some directive structurally as to whether I would need four or six support posts, and if 4x4 post would be adequate for elevating the fort. Hi, I decided to build a playhouse too. So for a start I searched the internet. There is a lot of comercial offer and even if I would decide for one the price would be considerably higher due to shipping costs. Another thing I learned is that approach in the USA and England is very much different than here. I would build a solid ftrame from top to bottom and cover it with planks. But that is definitely more time and money consuming. And the third thing I learned is that your playhouses are more lovable. A front porch and the details around the windows are mostly unknown here. I already begun to create my own plan and my initial measures are lenght (including the porch 2,5m, width 1,7m and height 2,3m). I plan to include an insude gallery to imitate the upper floor at heigh of 1,2m. I don't know if I may ask you for a plan but I would be very thankfull for it. From experience I know that a well thought out plan saves a lot of time and money. However, your presentation is very helpfull as it is and want to thank you for it. i found that while the wall framing was laying down on the floor that it was much easier to put the sheating on and then stand the whole assembly up. not only that but it was more stable
