You should have made full-size pull-out shelves instead so as not to waste all that space with all those pieces of wood. You should always check with a woman to see what she desires in the way of use of space in HER kitchen. She always knows best and has great ideas that you men can implement.

Ron, I've always had bad luck measuring the glides and getting them in the right place between the sides and the drawer. Do you have any good tips on how to measure both pieces so everything fits perfectly?

Ron, you made this look much easier than any DIYer I have seen yet! Really like the joiner clamps in your trash can project to keep sides together to glue and screw/nail. Thanks for these great how-to's.

Like it and am going to make one to add to my closet ( cost of the slide out is almost $18.00 each side ) and even then I can make a 6 foot tall one for $90.00 less and still make money ( and out of 3/4 inch boards too ) Use biscuts, glue and pocket screws to assemble wide parts . . Went to Home Depot to check on prices for wood and slides cabinet width comes out to 16 3/4 inches and 6 foot tall . . Mine will be a bit shorter as it goes into a clothes closet and splits the round dowel for hanging clothes on and will only be 54 3/4 inches tall at the top . . will almost clean out the shelves I have between kitchen and me now . .

A very great idea ! Thank you for showing us. I want to build one in my pantry which is 22 inches wide. I figure a 3 slider unit for this size - two 5 inches and one 6 inch wide. It is 25 3/4 inches deep. What kind model # and name brand sliders are they. I need quality sliders made for such a project as this. I can't wait for your feedback to us on this. Again, THANL YOU !

OK every one has their idea on how to do something, there is my two cents. I would have made one sliding unit because of how narrow it is, and would have put four non-swivel wheels on the bottom and only one pair in the middle or two pairs of cheaper drawer guides to help lead it in and out. That way, you can roll the whole unit out with food still on shelves to clean out the unit and what not. And might have skipped the whole outer cabinet all together and reused the same door that was there.

YOU HAVE JUST SOLVED A MAJOR CONCERN I HAD IN PLANNING FOR A NEW KITCHEN REMODEL. HOWEVER I DO HAVE ONE QUESTION ABOUT YOUR DESIGN. DO THESE SLIDES COME IN A FOUR FOOT DEPTH, AND IF SO HOW MUCH WEIGHT WILL THEY CARRY? THANKS FOR THE IDEA.

RON! Shame on you for removing the blade guard on that table saw!! You need to set a good example for all the DIY'ers out there. The number of accidents using these saws is awful and a lot are caused by removing the manufacturer's protective devices...

Ron, This project is great...I have needed to do the same thing to my pantry...I have thought about making the items in our pantry more accessible for to long... and now I have the perfect way to build it. I too would like to have access to drawings and plans...even if they were not the same I could print them out and change the dimensions. I have a similar, but narrower "pantry" built into my cabinets. Because it's not as wide as a broom closet, could I use the same concept and attach the glider pieces to the inside walls of my cabinet, then build shelves to fit the closet. Attach the other glider pieces to the shelving unit and use it that way? Any suggestions to make this adaptation work for my pantry?
