How much should I expect to pay a contractor for doing this for me?
Your demo is about how to install a sliding patio door really good and useful too.
This is awesome! The demo is really going to help, I'm glad I found this place. We ordered a really nice patio door the other day and so it will be good to know how to install it correctly!
Wonderful video. I am looking foe an installer in novi, Michigan. Any suggestions??? We are unable to do the installation.
Hi Ian - Currently we are not drawing up plans for our projects so it may be a while before plans for this project are realized. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Ron,Awesome video. I would like to use the exact same door that you used. Could you give me the specs on that, it would be greatly appreciated
Great video ,, very informative for the DIY homeowner trying to save some money on installation
Thanks, this is a real good video, tomorrow I am having the same door installed by a handyman, now I will know if he does it correctly. Thanks
Excellent video and I learned a lot, but the sliding door is on the outside. I thought that was a "no no" for security and safety reasons as well as slider longevity. With the slider on the outside it can be removed from the outside making it easier for someone to break in. Someone on the outside could also wedge the door with a stick making it impossible to open from the inside. Having the sliding edge on the outside also makes it subject to build up of dirt and grime due to wind and other weather. It will also be a constant cleaning problem and wear the door and it's sliding mechanism out prematurely. How do I know these things? It's the way my current sliding door is installed and I have experienced some of these problems. It has helped me break into my own house though when I've locked my keys inside.
Hi,can you please tell us where to get these doors from.It will be appreciated.thanks
Nice video,it helped to understand removing & installing the door step by step.
There are special types of mounting hardware for mounting the door directly to the steel frame but a better suggestion might be to add wood to the top header so you can mount the door to wood.

I feel that have multiple options to each question. The professionals at your local hardware store should have several suggestions beyond mine.
1) Here is a website that talks about creating a watertight seal between metal and cement. http://www.enecon.com/prod-Ene...2) You can find concrete anchoring screws and bolts at any hardware store.3) If you feel the need to fill the concrete blocks with more concrete for stability then that is a viable option.
Good luck with your project,
I have to thank you for all the information's that youdid post on the web.
I feel confident to replace my sliding doors.
You can not imagine how long it took me to find a wellexplain instruction on how to do the job.
Well my search is over and a big thanks to you.
I will let you know how the job goes.
Thank you for your professional advices.
I love the demo... This is the type of door I want - I love the built in blinds as well as the hidden grids - Where can I purchase one - love the fact that you can open it up so easy - Any help would be appreciated - we want to replace it this summer... Thankyou, M. Neiss
