Hello,

The simplest solution is to create a pattern out of a material to ensure knob placement in the same spot every time. Maybe try making a pattern out of a different material if you do not feel comfortable using wood.

You ROCK!! However I thought that it was possible to by a pattern in hardware stores for this purpose.. We have all the tools to make yours, but my husband works SOOOOOO much, that I wanted to take care of this (and many other projects) on my own. I have a very good eye, but we have 28 doors. I don't trust myself to build your pattern, as my cuts are not always perfect. Any ideas for a weekend warrior like me?

Hello. I am not sure if this is the right venue for my question. I do not want to intrude or overload you with questions but I have reached the end of the line in my quest and I thought perhaps you could point me in the right direction. My problem is that I am making the knobs for my kitchen cabinets in my log home out of round stones, I can use thread inserts placed in the rock and epoxy them, no problem there but I need to place a separator between the knob and the cabinet door to create a 1/2" or so space for ease of use. I need something that is shaped like a hourglass or similar. Where can I find the hardware to do this? Thank you so much Frank
