It looks like measurements could be taken and the counter top made in a factory.
I wonder how easily the counter top could be transported without breaking?
where is the finished product
I would like to remove my present wood kitchen work surface with concrete.Ideally I would like to use this same top as the base for pouring the concrete on but it would make the top too high. What do I use then as the base surface that would be waterproof, durable and stable and how thick should it be?Thank you
Is this $100 in materials? Anyone know what someone local and experienced would charge for his work? Ballpark? Great video and explanation.
Amazing!I have always advocated making the concrete countertops in-place, but all kinds of 'experts' said it wasn't practical or feasible. They insisted on making the components off-site.I said nonsense, and this reports just proves me right even more.It is far more organic and engineeringly elegant to pour the finished product where it will wind up being - just like you would with a floor.
Hi, a lot of questions are flying in concrete forums on concrete countertops. I have been my self in the same position asking hints and tips to find the right way to do my dream countertop. So, I did my latest concrete countertop with Z Counterform products. And now my company is the distributor of these fantastic products. The product range goes from edge forms, reinforcement to sealers. Also a lot of different videos are there. With the forms you can save especially time, so you don´t have to make them from scratch. This text might feel like a commercial, but as I said I have been in the same position. My company really wants to help on these projects. You can check our website at www.zcounterform.fi and be in touch with any questions.
this was amazing i was just thinking about doing this but had no idea how to start it thank you for this.Bonnie HAlaska
You have all the right ideas for pouring a counter-top. If you are looking for some recipes with photos of the finished products I suggest looking around on the internet. Here is a quick link to a site that has hundreds of variations: http://www.concretenetwork.com...
