My questions is the same as jeannette's would I have to sand them all the way down , My cabinets are oak fronts and laminate on the sides . Its kinda funny that this came out in the newsletter because I was just telling my husband I'd like to change the look in the kitchen.

What if my table already has paint on it, can I just sand it lightly and follow the above steps?

this pickling, does it give the cabinets a grey-ish finish? Also, my cabinets are stained, anyway to get the pickle effect on stained cabinets w/out completely sanding them down.

This is exactly what I want to do with my kitchen cabinets! I have a dilemma, however, and perhaps you can make a suggestion: The doors & drawer fronts are wood, but the rest of the cabinetry is laminate. Can I use the whitewash on the laminate? What could I prep the laminate with besides the sanding? I need a change and can't afford much more than a paint job(we just moved in)!
