Viewing Project in Exterior Doors & Windows > Exterior Windows
I noticed that he shutters were screwed into the window casing. Shouldn't shutters be attached and secured to the window "framing" or 2 x 4 with at least 2 1/2 to 3 inch penetration of the screws??? These must be decorative shutters and not true hurricane protection shutters. I like the look of the shutters and would like to see these on windows instead of plywood during hurricane season. how could you attach these same shutters to the 2 x 4 framing so that they are secure during a hurricane???
I need help with my shutters
