The reason I went to this video was to see how to install a vent-free gas fireplace. I was disappointed, there was no technical advice, no gas installation information, and nothing of value as far as information. Silly was more like it.

I want to install a vent free fireplace in my living room. Do I need to cut any holes in the ceiling or wall? How is this safe?

Bob, The reason it's able to vent into the room is because of how it beneficently burns the natural gas; just think about how your gas stove works, that directly vents into your kitchen without any safety or health issues. Learn more about ventless fireplaces: http://www.ventless-fireplace.org
