who use it to shape the creation of technical drawings
of the new product. |
Hand-drawn sketches are then converted
into computer images, which illustrate the product's intricacies.

These images are fed into a system
that cuts a rough three-dimensional wax model, using a
laser. |

| After the "rough" model
is approved, a more detailed working model is created.
|
This model is made out of plastic
and is actually a prototype that can be sent to various
teams for evaluation. |
One of those evaluation teams is
a set of design engineers, which performs various durability
and performance tests. |
