How to Drill Holes in a Round Object

If you have ever tried to bore a hole through a round object like a piece of dowel or pipe, you know that it is almost impossible to hold the object steady while you bore. Here is a simple tip that will make the job a lot easier:

Take two blocks of wood, cut notches in them, and place them on your workbench. Place the round object in the notches and go ahead and bore! Nothing is going to move now!
