Sometimes, when you're working with moldings, you want to cut just a tiny sliver off the end of the piece to get that perfect fit. But it doesn't it doesn't always work as planned.

Far too often, about half of the way through the cut, you find that your saw tends to slip off the end of the board. Ron shows us a way to keep that from happening.

Clamp the molding on a board that's slightly wider, and slightly longer.
| Begin your cut in the bottom board. |

As you cut through that bottom board, it's going to hold your saw in position, allowing you to take off a very, very thin slice, without any danger of that breakage.

There you go, as thin as the finest prosciutto.
