I must say, I have never heard of or seen anybody use a tennis ball for cleaning scuff marks off any type of surface. Seems as though it could be more useful in combination with some sort of cleaner and or polish. I will certainly try this in the summer when asphalt or sealer sometimes gets tracked in.

Works great! I used it to clean up a rec area (70' X 70') . After several uses the tennis ball becomes very dirty so use a liquid detergent and scrub it clean. This lets me reuse the ball multiple times before replacing it.

I love the 99 CENT ONLY STORES and have picked up 3 tennis balls for that price. 2 were for my parent's walkers. Works great. I used to bring my dog to a public tennis court and find lost or discarded tennis balls to play in a fenced area. I caught Ron's store at 11 A.M. on my local Fox station first. Then I found it after the showing of THIS OLD HOUSE show at 4:00 A.M. Ron's show. I record it on my new VCR/DVD recorder. I reuse the VCR tape for a long time. Cost me $155 from Walmart and Dish "tech" could not get their DVR working. At renting their $8 a month rate I win if my recorder lasts 20 months.

I work for a large company that has a janitorial company "ABM" come in to clean the place 5 days a week. They too clean scuffs marks with a tennis balls on a stick. None of them that I have talk to knows who came up with the idea but said it works great. I passed the idea along to a friend who has hard wood floors & he try it & said the scuffs up with no problems.

Ron, another easy way to remove scuff marks if you don't have a tennis ball, but you do have a pair of rubber sole shoes, is kick the scuff with the sole and it acts as an eraser and gets rid of the scuff f

We use this on black scuffs on walls as well. When the mark is a bit more stubborn we add a little WD-40 to the ball. Do you have any other ideas in regards to wall vinyl scuffs? As hard as we try we still rub off the print sometimes.

I just slip off my shoe and rub with my socked toe, when I'm wearing black socks of course! The tennis ball works great too. I used to teach and we had some teacher's kids who stayed after school waiting on their parent. To give them something to do, we'd send them down the hall with a tennis ball on a broomstick.

Very good. What also works is this. Wearing tennis shoes rub mark with sole of shoe over mark and it will disappear.
