How to Remove Lint from a Paint Roller

Even though we dust the walls and strain our paint, sometimes, there are still flecks of dust or lint visible on the painted surface -- especially if we're working with satin or gloss finishes.  The culprit could be the roller.  Even new rollers can deposit fibers onto the wall surface.  One way to prevent this is to remove any loose particles from the roller beforehand by passing it over a piece of masking tape.
