Prepare Your Home for Summer Entertaining

As summer approaches, many of us are spending more time outside. Summer is a great time for entertaining. Longer days and warm sunshine are simply so inviting. Each year I like to make sure that my outdoor spaces are clean, my grill is ready, and I have everything I need to make my get-togethers a huge success.

Over the course of the year, your outdoor spaces may have taken a beating. Exposure to the elements can lead to the growth of mold, mildew, or algae. Properly cleaning your deck will help maintain it so that it looks good as new and make it a safe place to unwind and host company.

During the summer, grilling is one of the things I look forward to the most. It’s easy, tasty, and fun to do with friends or family. Just like everything else, it’s important to properly care for your grill so you can maximize its life. I had an old grill for quite some time and rather than replace it, I restored my grill. This way I can get more mileage out of my grill and less waste.

I enjoy the convenience of having a serving bar outdoors when I’m hosting. So, I built my own portable outdoor serving bar. The best part of this design is that it breaks down into three portable, easy-to-store pieces, and sets up easily on a deck, patio, or yard.

Before you throw your next  BBQ or gathering, you’ll want to make sure your outdoor space is clean, your BBQ grill is in good, working condition and consider building your own outdoor serving bar. Enjoy your friends, family, and home this summer!
