Viewing Project in Decks & Patios > Porches
I was wondering why the post at the bottom of the stairs was not placed in concrete? Is it something to do with the chemistry between the plastic and concrete?
Looks great! What about installing on a concrete porch?
I hope you had a good vacation Ron, but it's good to see you back to work!
It is made by Barrette Outdoor Living. Home Depot sells it in different shades of white and with different baluster shapes.
The cutting shouldn't be that bad. If you don't have access to power tools a hacksaw would cut the plastic just fine and your home improvement store should be able to cut the 4x4 wood if you need it.
Looks Great too...
I wish you lived near me! I had my only 4 year old front porch replaced and extended out a foot with non-wood and the "builder" put the same front railing back on but didn't attach it to the house, just the hand rail. While reaching over to check on my Christmas lights the railing broke off! I am going to try to replace it myself, I am a 2nd grade teacher. I think I can do it following your directions. Except for the sawing part. Should I try?
Who makes (company) the rail kit you used in this segment?
